By focusing on the client experience, we ensured that the integrated technology now enhances her space–and her aesthetic. Here’s a look at how we brought technology and design together in this inspiring project.
We began by working closely with Ellie and her team to identify pain points and opportunities to enhance their studio space. Our goal was to design a wiring and infrastructure system that supported cutting-edge technology while maintaining a clean and uncluttered look. From strategic stud placement to concealed wiring, we ensured the studio’s technology is now as functional as it is beautiful. This invisible infrastructure supports design-friendly solutions for smart lighting, sound, video, and even future plans for window treatments, setting the stage for an elevated workspace.
The conference room now features The Frame TV by Samsung, outlined in a custom design that complements the studio’s aesthetic. Paired with a stunning Bang & Olufsen soundbar, this setup replaces the traditional black speaker bar with a sophisticated solution that blends form and function. The result is a high-performance, visually pleasing space where Ellie and her team can collaborate with clients in style.
Ellie’s personal office mirrors the conference room’s elegant setup, featuring The Frame TV with a custom frame and planned automated drapes by Lutron to add a functional yet luxurious layer to her window treatments. These integrations demonstrate how technology can be both practical and design-forward, creating a workspace that reflects Ellie’s expertise in high-end interiors.
One of the most exciting spaces in the studio is the VR Lounge, designed to help clients experience projects in a more immersive and realistic way. This high-tech room is hard-wired for optimal performance, ensuring seamless virtual reality experiences. To elevate the space further, we incorporated Proluxe linear lighting into custom benches, collaborating with a builder and upholsterer to achieve the perfect balance of uplighting and downlighting. The result is a moody, high-tech vibe that enhances the lounge’s futuristic feel and will serve the space for years to come.
In the Material Library, color temperature—the perceived warmth or coolness of a light source—matters. Choosing finishes and materials requires accurate lighting, which is why we installed Ketra’s human-centric lighting technology. This innovative system allows Ellie and her team to tune the lighting to match existing finishes in clients’ homes or explore how different options will look in various lighting conditions. With precision lighting aimed at the island countertops, Ellie can easily showcase possibilities and make informed recommendations for her clients with accuracy and expertise.
